Your monthly update

September is already over! We hope that everyone is doing great, and that your first Sociological Theory 1 exam went well!
Thank you for applying to our committees! 
We would like to thank everyone who applied for committees, we were so happy to see many SEC members who want to be involved in making the association so great!
Each coordinator will organise their committee’s first meeting as soon as possible, so we can start organising events!
SEC x Kwakiutl Borrel!
This month, we will have our first joint Borrel with Kwakiutl, the Study Association fo Anthropology at UvA!
This will happen on Thursday the 4th of October, from 20:00 to 00:00, at Café Czaar, Czaar Peterstraat 281.
Remember to have a valid certificate of vaccination or of (negative) test. If you have a non-EU vaccination, you can either convert it to EU, or get tested!

Introduction Day for First Year Students
Finally, we are happy to announce the Introduction Day for First Year Students will happen on October 9th!
The plan of the day is:
Meet at Central Station at 2:30
3-4PM: Bowling
4-5PM: glow in the dark mini golf
5:30-7:30PM: Dinner at Vapiano
8:00-00PM: Karaoke and 2 free drinks

The price for the day is 22.65!

Halloween Borrel 
The BoCo will organise an Halloween Borrel on November 3rd!
Keep an eye on our socials to see the excat time and location, and when the ticket sale will go online!
The Other Perspective

The College of Social Science (which SEC is part of) is working on an event called “The Other Perspective”.
The Study Coordinators of different Study Associations have joined forces to organise a lecture event where different perspectives on the same topic will be given.

The Date, Time and Place are still to be decided, but this event will happen at the end of October, so keep an eye on our socials!

Star (gazing)

Star (gazing) is a new addition to this month’s newsletter. Here, our treasurer Star can tell us something fun that happened during this month.
This time was the renovation of the board room after a visionary meeting.
